A State of Controlled Chaos

Hmm... Things take longer than I want them to. Been sitting behind my desk working for a few hours (work being used loosely here... It is much more related to figuring out the ins and outs of a ChemDraw-like program that works in Linux and doesn't take forever looking at a manual to understand) on an O-Chem lab. O-Chem labs are not fun. Getting an 85% is rather disheartening when you think about how well you think you should be doing in a class you understand well. What seems to be the issue is that Chem TA's in general seem to grade far more stringently than my TA in physics. What results is some sort of vicious cycle where I don't do as well as I'd like, and then I don't like doing it because I do poorly. Then I continue to do poorly since I don't like doing it. Bah. Infinite loops are bad, especially when there doesn't seem to be an effective way around it. Oh well... At least it is only 1 credit hour... And most of the points are still to be handed out in that class...
